The U.S. Census Bureau invites the public to celebrate the grand opening of a new Local Census Office (LCO) on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, in the Student Center at Roxbury Community College. Kathleen Ludgate, Regional Director, and Arnold Jackson, Associate Director for Decennial Census at the U.S. Census Bureau, will be joined by Mayor Thomas M. Menino, elected officials, and community partners, to launch the next phase of census activities in Boston. Speakers will encourage every person living in the area to promote, support, and participate in the 2010 Census.
