Purpose of Event:  Conscious Consuming presents Boston’s 5th annual Alternative Gift Fair.  We gather 15 non-profits, including Heifer International, the African Mission Society, and Prison Book, and showcase their programs.  Gift fair attendees can talk to representatives from each of the non-profits, choose from a menu of “gifts”, and make a donation in a loved one’s name.  They are presented with a beautiful card describing their gift.  Gift it Up! raised over $9,000 last year for the participating non-profits, and attendees gave gifts to change the world.
