The soils in the woods are excessively acid and low in nutrients that are necessary for tree health. As part of a larger, comprehensive restoration effort, volunteers will help spread limestone and minerals. At least 25 volunteers needed. Refreshments will be provided. Olmsted Park is between Rte 9 and Jamaica Pond. Meet near the intersection of Pond Ave and Willow Pond Road at the stone foot bridge.
