RYSE UP: Art and Music for a Cause

RYSE Up: Art and Music for a Cause, Thursday July 6th.  Come join others in support of a terrific local organization, RYSE, which serves youth and young adults who are homeless in Boston and Cambridge. River of Life Church and Off Your Back Shirts (www.offyourbackshirts.com) are acting as lead co-sponsors for the event on Thursday July 6th.  RYSE Up: Art and Music for a cause will include a silent auction, an art show from 6-8pm (including work by youth who are homeless) and a benefit concert featuring Boston band, Centrevol (www.centrevol.com) from 8-9:30.  The event will be held on Thursday July 6th at River of Life Church, 440 Centre St., Jamaica Plain.  Art and hors d’oeuvres will be free.  Benefit concert will be $7 or by donation.

Neighborhood Crime Watch Unit (NCWU) Boston Police Department Whistle Alert Program

For those who came to the organizing event and did not get whistles or for anyone interested in the whistle alert program–come to the next E-13 Community Meeting on Thursday, July 6, 7:30 p.m., E-13 Police Station Community Room, 3345 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain.  Judi Wright, Director, NCWU, will be there to distribute whistles.
